Why does the tape lose its stickiness and fall off after a while?
Once the tape is applied to the hair, factors such as oil, sweat, and washing will gradually reduce its stickiness. This is unavoidable. Generally, after 2-3 weeks of use, the tape should be replaced entirely to maintain its adhesive properties. We provide a pack of replacement tape with each hair extension pack.
Why does the hair still tangle and dry out even after care?
Hair extensions do not have roots to provide nourishment like natural hair and are constantly in friction with your own hair. They are especially prone to damage during vigorous washing, which can lead to tangling or drying out after prolonged use.
How can I securely wear tape-in extensions?
Please use the “sandwich method”:
(4) Take a thin layer of your own hair.
(5) Place your hair in the middle layer, about 1-2 cm away from the scalp, and sandwich it between the two layers of the hair extension. Press firmly for 3-5 seconds. Note that your hair should be as thin as possible to allow the tape on both sides to adhere fully.
(6) Then use a flat iron to press the tape area for 2-3 seconds to slightly melt the adhesive. After cooling, it will be securely attached.
How do I remove tape-in extensions?
Directly tearing off the tape can leave residual adhesive on your hair. Instead, use a professional adhesive remover. Apply the remover to the tape area, let it sit for a moment, gently twist, and the extensions should come off easily.
Can I swim with tape-in extensions?
Please avoid swimming within 48 hours of application, as water can quickly reduce the tape’s stickiness. After 48 hours, it is possible, but each exposure to water will weaken the adhesive. We recommend wearing a swim cap for isolation.
Can I run or exercise with tape-in extensions?
Yes, but these activities can accelerate the entry of sweat and oil into the tape, causing the adhesive to weaken more quickly.
Why are some pieces of tape missing from my order?
This could be due to cutting issues during manufacturing or oversights during manual binding. Please contact our customer service or leave us a message via email, and we can send you replacements or arrange for an exchange.
